Barcelona are the reigning La Liga champions and lead the way in their quest to retain their title.

This comes despite Ernesto Valverde giving way to Quique Setien after a mid-season drop in form. Nonetheless, they remain a five-star team in FIFA 20.

Undoubtedly one of the best teams in the game, Barcelona have the privilege of calling on the likes of Lionel Messi and Frenkie De Jong. But what have EA Sports rated the duo, and the rest of the Barcelona squad?

We’ve got you covered. Read on for Barcelona’s FIFA 20 player ratings and stats in full, as well as some tips.

Squad list is based on players in latest downloadable update at time of publication.

Barcelona FIFA 20 ratings: Goalkeepers

Marc-Andre ter Stegen has been in the headlines recently about his place – or lack of one – in the German national team. But the goalkeeper is an absolute titan in FIFA 20, with a rating of 90 that makes him the second-highest-rated Barcelona player.

Barcelona goalkeeper ratings for FIFA 20: Marc-Andre ter Stegen (90), Neto (84), Inaki Pena (65).

Barcelona FIFA 20 ratings: Defenders

In La Liga last season, Barcelona conceded 36 goals in 38 games, and boast some of FIFA 20’s best defenders. Gerard Pique leads the way with a rating of 88, but he is joined by Jordi Alba, Samuel Umtiti and Clement Lenglet in being above 84.

Player to poach: Junior Firpo is a relatively new addition to the Barcelona squad, but the centre-back has the potential to become one of the upper-echelon defenders in the game. Starting with an overall of 79, the full-back could raise as high as 85 if you play your cards right.

Barcelona defender ratings for FIFA 20: Gerard Pique (88), Jordi Alba (86), Clement Lenglet (86), Samuel Umtiti (85), Nelson Semedo (82), Sergi Roberto (82), Junior Firpo (79), Sergio Akieme (66), Jorge Cuenca (65), Chumi (65), Ronaldo Araujo (65), Dani Morer (64).

Barcelona FIFA 20 ratings: Midfielders

Summer signing Frenkie de Jong has taken a big boost from his initial FIFA 19 rating of 77 as a result of his incredible season with Ajax. The Dutchman’s new score of 86 sees him come in quick as Barcelona’s second-best midfielder in game.

Player to poach: Riqui Puig was the talk of Barcelona last season and his potential has been carried over to FIFA 20. The central midfielder starts out with a rating of 71 – decent enough, but not at the level of Barcelona’s other players. Use this to your advantage, and you could be reaping the rewards of his final potential rating of 87.

Barcelona midfielder ratings for FIFA 20: Sergio Busquets (88), Frenkie de Jong (86), Ivan Rakitic (85), Arthur (85), Arturo Vidal (84), Arda Turan (76), Riqui Puig (71), Matheus Pereira (71), Ludovit Reis (70), Alex Collado (65).

Barcelona FIFA 20 ratings: Forwards

Barcelona’s attack is pretty boring in FIFA 20. There’s just 94-rated Lionel Messi, the best player in the game, and Antoine Griezmann and Luis Suarez, both of whom come in with ratings of 89. Who would want to pick from a trio like that?

Player to poach: There aren’t too many options to poach in Barcelona’s latest line of forwards. Messi, Griezmann, Suarez and Ousmane Dembele are all certain to cost close to £100m. But of the remaining options, Ansu Fati, is certainly not a bad one. The teenager starts the game at 73 rated, and can grow to 90.

Barcelona forward ratings for FIFA 20: Lionel Messi (94), Antoine Griezmann (89), Luis Suarez (89), Ousmane Dembele (83), Martin Braithwaite (75), Ansu Fati (73), Rey Manaj (70), Hiroki Abe (69).
