Frank Lampard new favourite in sack race after latest Chelsea defeat

Frank Lampard once again leads the Premier League managerial sack race following another major setback for the Chelsea manager against Leicester.
The Blues fell to their sixth league defeat of the season as Leicester ran out comfortable 2-0 winners at the King Power Stadium on Tuesday.
The result piles more pressure on Lampard who has moved to a 4/5 favourite with Sky Bet to be the next top flight manager to leave his post – replacing under-fire Newcastle boss Steve Bruce (2/1) at the top of the pile.
Chelsea are nine points off the top of the top having slipped to eighth place – leapfrogged by West Ham who moved up to seventh following their win over West Brom.
That defeat at Leicester was Lampard’s fifth in their last eight Premier League games, admitting post-match he is worried about the club’s disappointing form.
“It’s not where we want to be,” Lampard said.
“I am worried. From the form we were in to get so quickly in to the form we’re in now, even with the Fulham win [on Saturday] and some other wins in there, we should be better than losing five in eight.
“It’s a young team. They won’t be feeling nice. I’m not against the lads in the dressing room. They will have learned a lesson.”
