Sam Johnstone (Palace)

  • G10 fixture: Spurs (H)
  • Predicted points: 4.0

Sam Johnstone is the undisputed number at Crystal Palace, with the Eagles defence keeping a league leading four clean sheets this season, one of just four sides to do so. Three of those shut-outs have come in the last four gameweeks, while Johnstone has made 16 saves in that period to scoop up five bonus points.

Konstantinos Tsimikas (Liverpool)

  • GW10 fixture: Nottingham Forest (H)
  • Predicted points: 5.6

Tsimikas carries huge potential for a budget price as he deputises for Andrew Robertson over the next two months. He marked his first start of the season last weekend with a clean sheet and it’s thought he will have significant involvement in set pieces, having taken three corners in the win against Everton. He notched up four assists from nine starts last season.

Gabriel (Arsenal)

  • GW10 fixture: Sheffield United (H)
  • Predicted points: 4.9

Arsenal centre-back Gabriel has certainly come good after a rocky start to the FPL season, involved in three clean sheets from six starts. He’s had three shots on goal in this time and has scored 10 Premier League goals over the last three seasons. Sheffield United have scored just seven goals this season, so clean sheet potential is high in this one.

Dan Burn (Newcastle)

  • GW10 fixture: Wolves (A)
  • Predicted points: 4

Newcastle United’s Dan Burn provides a budget route into a defence with four clean sheets for the campaign, with all of those coming in the last five gameweeks. He’s already off the mark with a goal this season, too, having had seven shots in the box and two big chances on goal. The Magpies have conceded a league-lowest eight big chances on their goal.

Mohamed Salah (Liverpool)

  • GW10 fixture: Nottingham Forest (H)
  • Predicted points: 7.1

Mohamed Salah has been in sensational form in recent weeks, with the most fantasy points this season and four double digit hauls in his last five. He ranks top for shots and big chances in the last four gameweeks and has also created three big chances for his team-mates. He is on penalties, too, which has been a significant route to points lately.

Bukayo Saka (Arsenal)

  • GW10 fixture: Sheffield United (H)
  • Predicted points: 6.4

Saka is now back fit for Arsenal and is a top acquisition for this week at home to Sheffield United, who have been the worst defence in the Premier League so far this season, failing to keep a clean sheet and conceding 24 goals in the process. Saka is heavily involved in Arsenal’s set pieces and is favourite to take their next penalty, despite sharing duties lately.

Son Heung-min (Spurs)

  • GW10 fixture: Crystal Palace (A)
  • Predicted points: 5.8

Son Heung-min continues to provide an exciting fantasy option, since he’s playing out of position as a striker, where he has delivered eight attacking returns in his last six games. It’s all-out attack for Spurs under Ange Postecoglou, with a leading tally of 168 shots on goal this season and Son providing 26 of them. He’s also thought to be on penalties.

James Maddison (Spurs)

  • GW10 fixture: Crystal Palace (A)
  • Predicted points: 5.1

James Maddison provides the only attacking double-up in this wildcard side, with attacking assets from Spurs key as they top the Premier League table. Maddison’s routes to points are plentiful, with 10 shots and 15 key passes in the last four gameweeks alone. He is the key set-piece taker in this Spurs side, having taken 41 corners which is a league high.

Anthony Gordon (Newcastle)

  • GW10 fixture: Wolves (A)
  • Predicted points: 5.0

Budget pick Anthony Gordon is the key to unlocking this wildcard squad containing all of the big guns: Saka, Son, Salah, Maddison, Haaland and Watkins. His gametime seems secure for the time being with key absentees elsewhere in this Newcastle United squad and he’s produced four goal involvements in his last four games. He’s worth the punt!

Erling Haaland (Man City)

  • GW10 fixture: Manchester United (A)
  • Predicted points: 7.5

Erling Haaland is undroppable for AI, despite plenty of FPL managers opting to transfer him out or captain against. He leads the predictions and so wins the armband for the Manchester Derby, as the top goalscorer this season with nine goals in nine, from a 8.11 xG metric. He has also posted a leading tally of 15 big chances.

Ollie Watkins

  • vs Luton (H)
  • Predicted points: 5.8

Ollie Watkins is hot property in FPL this week, with a leading tally of 48 FPL points over the last four gameweeks. He’s top for both shots on target (8) and shots in the box (15) in that time, with a lack of penalty duties not hindering is output. He has an attacking return in every home game this season, while opponents Luton are still waiting for their first clean sheet.

Here’s the team in full with a bench of Areola, Archer, Branthwaite and Taylor.
