FPL tips and team news ahead of Premier League Gameweek 32

Gameweek 32 is here and, with a full fixture list, the work of an FPL manager continues.

The action kicks off on Friday evening with Wolves travelling to St James’ Park to take on Newcastle. Eddie Howe’s side have found the past few weeks difficult, but will they return to winning ways against a Wolves side still chasing European football?

Five games follow on Saturday, including Frank Lampard’s Everton hosting Manchester United. The Toffees look in big trouble after a miserable defeat to drop rivals Burnley on Wednesday and need to pick up points fast. Elsewhere, Aston Villa host Tottenham, out-of-form Brighton visit Arsenal and Southampton entertain Chelsea on the south coast. Another important match at the foot of the table sees Leeds face Watford at Vicarage Road.

Sunday is headlined by the huge, potentially title-deciding clash between Manchester City and Liverpool, whilst Norwich vs Burnley could have massive implications at the other end of the table. Brentford host West Ham in a London derby and Crystal Palace travel to Leicester, with The Eagles hoping to build on their impressive win over Arsenal.

With the gameweeks beginning to run out, decisions within your squad are becoming even more important.

FPL tips for Gameweek 32: Six players to consider

Bukayo Saka (Arsenal), £6.8M: The England international has had a great season, consistently placed among the top 10 FPL midfielders and this weekend could see the 20-year-old add another significant haul to his tally. Arsenal take on a Brighton side who have picked up just one point from a possible 21 , conceding and average of just under two goals a game during that period. Saka has three goals and one assist from his last seven games, while he’d also benefit from an Arsenal clean sheet should they shut out the Seagulls.

Jarrod Bowen (West Ham), £6.8M: Bowen returned from injury last weekend and had an immediate impact, scoring the winning goal against Everton. That was Bowen’s ninth in the league this season, putting the exclamation point on performances that have seen him linked with a move to Liverpool this summer. West Ham travel across London to take on an inconsistent Brentford in Gameweek 32. Beware Bees, only Harry Kane (18) has been directly involved in more goals than the West Ham man (17) among English players in the Premier League.

Maxwell Cornet (Burnley), £5.9M: Burnley might not be top of the list of teams to look at for FPL each week, but a favourable fixture against Norwich this weekend, coupled with a confidence-boosting win over Everton on Wednesday, means The Clarets are worth a look for Gameweek 32. Cornet scored the winning goal against Everton in midweek, adding to an assist earlier in the game. He has now scored seven league goals this campaign and looks a snip at £5.9M, with a favourable run-in meaning he could represent a good investment.

Jonny (Wolves), £4.5M: Wolves travel to Newcastle on Friday night and Jonny could well be the man to get your FPL weekend off to the perfect start. The defender has two goals in his last two games and has shown he’s at home in the opposition’s box, with four shots in his last three games. Out-of-form Newcastle have lost their last three games, struggling to keep up the form that pulled them out of trouble earlier this season. Jonny’s last four FPL hauls of 6, 6, 7 and 9 have included both offensive and attacking returns — a combination of both against Newcastle could really propel you up your fantasy football league.

Aaron Ramsdale (Arsenal), £5.1M: A clean sheet for Arsenal looks as though it could be one of the most likely outcomes as they come up against Brighton, who have scored just once in their last seven games. The Gunners have only shipped 12 goals at Emirates Stadium all season, keeping seven clean sheets, and that defensive form is reflected in Ramsdale’s FPL ranking of fourth among goalkeepers. He’s also scored nine or more points in five gameweeks this season; more than any other keeper.

Kai Havertz (Chelsea), 7.9: Havertz has gone under the radar for much of the season, picking up steady FPL hauls without ever being spectacular. The German international has scored four goals in his last four games, picking up his two highest points tallies in that period. Chelsea take on a Southampton side that have not won in four games and conceded nine goals during that time. With Havertz in form, he could have a really profitable weekend in fantasy terms.
