This is the first-ever competitive meeting between Sporting and Tottenham in any competition. Sporting are winless in all six of their Champions League matches against English sides, drawing one and losing five against Man Utd (two losses), Chelsea (two losses) and Man City (one draw and one loss). Richarlison, who netted a brace on his Champions League debut, should once again support Harry Kane alongside Heung-min Son which means another Dejan Kulusevski cameo off the bench.
Bryan Gil and Lucas Moura remain sidelined while Japhet Tanganga and Ben Davies are hopeful of starting in Spurs’ defence. Yves Bissouma is an option to come into midfield, likely at Rodrigo Bentancur’s expense.
