When is Southampton vs Liverpool? Kick-off time, referee, TV channel info and live streaming

Liverpool will be hoping to end their Premier League season on a high when they travel to face Southampton on the final day.

The Reds recently embarked on a seven-game winning run in the Premier League, which moved them to within a point of the top four, but it was ultimately too late. A draw against Aston Villa at the weekend left them on the brink of disappointment, three points behind Newcastle United and Manchester United with both sides having a game in hand. And they both managed to pick up the required point, Newcastle by drawing with Leicester City and Man Utd by beating Chelsea. So it’s the Europa League for Liverpool.

But for the hosts this is farewell. Farewell to the Premier League after 11 seasons, with Southampton finishing bottom of the table after what has been a terrible campaign. Given the exodus many expect this summer and the state of the club, it could be the last time we see Southampton in the Premier League for a while.

Southampton team news

Tino Livramento made his long-awaited return from injury in the 3-1 defeat to Brighton last weekend and while he is not expected to start, the English right-back is a welcome face in the squad. However, Che Adams faces a late fitness test with a calf problem — not being completely ruled out but also not being included by Ruben Selles. Armel Bella-Kotchap, Mohamed Salisu, Juan Larios and Romain Perraud are definitely out.

Liverpool team news

Darwin Nunez returned to training following a toe injury so should be included, though any appearance is likely to come from the bench. Roberto Firmino came off the bench to secure a point against Aston Villa last weekend and if he appears on Sunday it will be his final Liverpool game, set to leave in the summer – alongside James Milner. Thiago, Naby Keita, Stefan Bajcetic and Calvin Ramsay are out for the season.
