When is Sevilla vs Cordoba? Kick-off time, referee, TV channel info and live streaming

Sevilla begin their preparations for the 2023/24 season with a domestic match-up against third tier Spanish side Cordoba.

Jose Luis Mendilibar will be getting his side ready for a season in the Champions League after winning the 2022/23 Europa League at the expense of Roma in a dramatic final. That showdown at the Puskas Arena in Budapest really was a fiery affair, and ended with Sevilla winning on penalties and lifting their seventh title.

They now prepare for the less significant showdown against fellow Andalusians Cordoba. Los Califas are currently in the third division and have been since 2019, a huge fall from grace when they were competing in La Liga as recently as 2015.

Sevilla team news

It’s been a somewhat busy summer for Sevilla already. Yet to lose anyone, Mendilibar has only strengthened his side with the permanent acquisition of Loic Bade, as well as bringing in unknown defensive entity Federico Gattoni from San Lorenzo in Argentina and left-back Adria Pedrosa on a free transfer from Espanyol. Nemanja Gudelj has also renewed his contract until June 2026.

Cordoba team news

Los Califas have been very active so far as they look to climb out of the Primera Federacion, with the club signing no fewer than five players. Four free signings have walked through the doors at the Nuevo Arcangel, including Adrian Lapena, Adilson, Carlos Albarran and Adrian Castellano, while Alex Sala has joined on loan from Girona.
