Wednesday’s win over Elche proved to be too soon for Thibaut Courtois following his back injury but the Belgian is expected to return ahead of the weekend and should replace Andriy Lunin in goal for Los Blancos. Dani Ceballos is the only other confirmed absentee, but with Carlo Ancelotti going surprisingly full-strength against Elche, the Italian tactician may opt to make a few changes.
Real Madrid have already secured their spot in the last 16 of the Champions League but first place in their group can be settled in the week, which may be on Ancelotti’s mind as well as managing minutes in the build up to the World Cup break.

Kike Salas will be unavailable for Sevilla following his red card in the 1-1 draw with Valencia on Wednesday, being sent off in the dying stages of the match having come on as a substitute. Salas was brought on to replace Tanguy Nianzou who came off with an injury but the defender is expected to be fit to return to the XI against Real Madrid.
However, the visitors are still without Fernando, Jesus Corona and Karim Rekik. And like Real Madrid they may have one eye on the Champions League with slim hopes of qualifying for the last 16, though their game against Copenhagen is likely to settle who goes into the Europa League.
