Following a disappointing Champions League qualification campaign PSV will be looking to get off to a winning start in Europa League, a competition they’ve won once before. Ruud van Nistelrooy’s men, though, come into this game on the back of a 2-1 loss to Twente and without several players through injury. Olivier Boscagli, Mauro Júnior, Fredrik Oppegard, Noni Madueke and Luuk de Jong are sidelined. Xavi Simons is expected to play a ‘false nine’ role in De Jong’s absence. A number of players have since left and head coach Kjetil Knutsen is tasked with producing another deep run in Europe, he comes into the clash in Eindhoven missing only central midfielder from his matchday squad. Momentum isn’t on their side as the Norwegian outfit have won just one of their last four matches (which includes two losses) in all competitions. Knutsen could make several changes from his most recent lineup with the likes of Albert Grönbaek and Runar Espejord both pushing for starts.
