Arsenal can secure top spot in Europa League Group A when they face PSV at Philips Stadion on Thursday (5.45pm BST).

Having claimed maximum points from their opening four matches, the Gunners need just one more to finish at the Group A summit.

Meanwhile, second-place PSV’s qualification hopes remain in the air, but four points from their last two games would see them through.

PSV team news

Ruud van Nistelrooy is likely to rotate his squad following PSV’s 4-2 defeat at Groningen on Sunday.

Phillipp Mwene and Erick Gutierrez could come in with Anwar El Ghazi dropping to the bench, while Guus Til should continue to lead the line up front.

Luuk de Jong and Noni Madueke are still building up their fitness after returning from injury, but the likes of Marco van Ginkel, Kjell Peersman, Olivier Boscagli, Yorbe Vertessen and Ismael Saibari remain absent.

Arsenal team news

While Arsenal’s passage into the knockout stages may be secured, Mikel Arteta may still name a strong side in a bid to seal first place.

Although one yellow card away from incurring a continental ban, Granit Xhaka could make his 50th Europa League appearance, while the lies of Kieran Tierney, Fabio Vieira and Albert Sambi Lokonga will be hoping for recalls.

Oleksandr Zinchenjo is close to returning from a calf issue, but Emile Smith Rowe (groin) and Mohamed Elneny (hamstring) remain sidelined.

Scoreline prediction: PSV 1-2 Arsenal
