Nice team news
Nice had two players at the World Cup but Kasper Schmeichel and Aaron Ramsey were both eliminated at the group stages with Denmark and Wales respectively. Neither player featured in Lille’s 4-1 win over Standard Liege on Thursday as they were not named in the squad for the Marbella training camp, which ends after Saturday’s game.
The French side are likely to be without Youcef Atal, Ross Barkley, Marcin Bulka, Sofiane Diop and Mario Lemina, all of whom are either ill or injured – though they did all travel to Spain.
Nice will then have two more friendlies before Ligue 1 returns, taking on Atalanta and then Tottenham Hotspur over the next two weeks.

Girona also beat Standard Liege on Thursday, and were able to call upon a full strength squad having had no players at the World Cup. Having stayed in Spain, Girona did not name an official “squad” for the friendlies but have already given game time to 22 players, playing against Standard Liege with first-half and second-half XIs – as is often seen in pre-season friendlies.
After taking on Nice, Girona will face sister club Manchester City next weekend, at the Academy Stadium.
