When is Mexico vs Panama? Kick-off time, referee, TV channel info and live streaming

The 2023 Concacaf Gold Cup has reached the final stage, with Mexico taking on surprise package Panama in the early hours of Monday morning (UK time).

El Tri are the most successful nation in Gold Cup history with eight titles to date, so despite their recent struggles, it’s no surprise to see them reach their 11th final. Jaime Lozano’s side topped Group B despite a rather embarrassing defeat to Qatar on Matchday 3, going on to beat Costa Rica and Jamaica with five goals scored and none conceded in the knockouts.

In Panama, they’re facing one of the shock sides of the tournament. The Central American side have only ever reached this stage twice before and did so with a surprise win over the United States on penalties in the semi-finals — albeit the Stars and Stripes have brought a reserve side to the tournament. Even so, Panama have also beaten Costa Rica, Qatar and Martinique at this year’s championships, so will provide a real threat to Mexico’s quest for glory.

Mexico team news

Mexico are free of injuries and suspensions for the final. Lozano will likely stick with Club America’s Henry Martin up-front after the striker opened the scoring in the 3-0 semi-final win over Jamaica — his second goal of the tournament. El Tri now have four players on that tally, but none above.

Panama team news

Panama will likely field an unchanged XI against Mexico given their success at the tournament so far, hoping that continuity can help bridge the talent gap.
