Liverpool team news
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlin has made his return to the Liverpool bench after injury in the past couple of weeks and come on for 14 minutes in the 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest. However, the Englishman is not available to face Napoli having not been registered in Liverpool’s squad for the Champions League group stage. This keeps Liverpool’s midfield options thin with Naby Keita and Arthur still injured, though the former was also unregistered due to his fitness.
Joel Matip, Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota are also unavailable through injury, with Jurgen Klopp having a decision to make over his formation and XI as he looks to arrest yet another slump.
Napoli team news
Napoli have just two injury concerns in Salvatore Sirigu and Amir Rrahmani, but Luciano Spalletti has managed just fine without them this season. The Italian side are still unbeaten across all competitions, also topping Serie A, and go into this game off the back of a 13-match winning run including the 4-1 victory over Liverpool in September.
