Atletico Madrid are on a disappointing run in La Liga, and dropped more points against Almeria at the weekend, so may be looking to the Copa del Rey for some success and happiness. Diego Simeone’s side have already beaten Almazan, Arenteiro and Oviedo in the competition, winning 2-0 against the later in the last round.

Levante, meanwhile, will be hoping they can pair a good cup run with their fight for promotion back to La Liga. Sitting third in the Segunda Division, Levante have also knocked Olot, Andorra and La Liga side Getafe out of the Copa del Rey so far.

Levante team news

Shkodran Mustafi and Roger Brugue remain out injured for the hosts, with the former Arsenal man not having featured since September. In December, he underwent surgery on the knee problem which has kept him out, and is expected to be absent for another three months.

Vicente Iborra was sent off in Levante’s win over Getafe in the previous round and is serving a four-match ban, having also missed the past two league matches.

Atletico Madrid team news

Sergio Reguilon will be available for Atletico Madrid despite his own sending off at the weekend, with his suspension only applying to La Liga. Diego Simeone will also be able to call upon Stefan Savic who has returned from suspension.

Yannick Carrasco is definitely absent for the visitors due to injury, while Jose Maria Gimenez is a doubt and may not be risked after missing the draw with Almeria at the weekend.
