Ange Postecoglou faces his second game in charge of Tottenham when his side take on Leicester City in Thailand this weekend.

The Aussie got his first taste of action on Tuesday morning in his homeland as London rivals West Ham put Spurs to the sword in a five-goal thriller. Deploying a makeshift XI, David Moyes masterminded a 3-2 win in Perth against a full-strength Tottenham side, though Postecoglou will take encouragement from the game.

His side enjoyed the lion’s share of possession (73% to 27%) and peppered Lukasz Fabianski’s goal with 32 shots to West Ham’s seven. Despite the end result, Spurs fans will like what they saw as Manor Solomon and James Maddison looked lively, with Postecoglou’s side playing some very attractive football.

Leicester meanwhile have started their preparations for a 2023/24 season in the Championship with a win and a defeat. Enzo Maresca suffered his first loss against Peterborough United earlier this month, before beating Northampton Town. His side now face two huge tests in Tottenham and then Liverpool.
