After finishing 7th in the 2. Bundesliga last season, where they recorded the biggest away win of the season (0-6 vs Regensburg), Karlsruher will be hoping this is the season they finally get promoted back to the German top-flight after being relegated from the Bundesliga in 2009. Christian Eichner is the man tasked with promotion, but his side have flip-flopped from top half and bottom half finishes since their promotion in 2018/19.

The German side have a few notable players that you may have heard of, including defender Daniel O’Shaughnessy, who played in all three of Finland’s group stage games at Euro 2020 and full-back Daniel Brosinski, who has recently returned to his hometown side.
