Ireland team news
There is a mix of experienced and fresh faces among the Ireland squad with 10 of the 26 men having fewer than 10 caps. Carrying on from that, 14 of the 26 are aged 25 or under, with Evan Ferguson hoping to make an impact aged just 18. Mikey Johnston is in the squad for the first time having switched international allegiances from his native Scotland.
Robbie Brady, Darragh Lenihan, Liam Scales, Callum Robinson and Scott Hogan have all dropped out from the squad that took on Norway and Malta in two friendlies during the World Cup break.
Latvia team news
Igor Tarasovs retired after Latvia’s Baltic Cup showing at the end of the year, one of four players to drop out from that squad. Eduards Daskevics, Maksims Tonisevs, Emils Birka and Nils Toms Purins will all be hoping to make their Latvia debuts.
