Borussia Mönchengladbach and Strasbourg conclude their pre-season preparations when they meet in a friendly at Borussia-Park on Saturday afternoon (2:30pm, UK time).

Preparations for next season have been going smoothly for Borussia Mönchengladbach, who have claimed four wins from the same number of games played. Gladbach tailed off during last season’s Bundesliga, having failed to win any of their last six matches (three losses and three draws).

Consequently, they finished 14th in Germany’s top division, one point above the relegation places. By contrast, Strasbourg can only boast a win in pre-season, having lost four of their six fixtures played. Much like Gladbach, they struggled in domestic competition, finishing 13th in Ligue 1, but eventually ended ten points above the safety line.
