Dynamo Kyiv team news

Dynamo Kyiv entered qualifying for the Champions League in the second round, as one of just four teams starting the League Path at that stage. The Ukrainian side were drawn against Fenerbahce and needed extra-time in the second leg to go through 2-1, after a goalless draw in the first leg. Dynamo Kyiv then beat Sturm Graz in the second round, again needing extra-time in the second leg, scoring twice to win 3-1 overall.

However, they go into this game without captain Sergiy Sydorchuk who is suspended for an accumulation of yellow cards, being booked three times in qualifying. Denys Garmash is also suspended for too many bookings, while Vladyslav Supryaga and Volodymyr Kostevych are injured

Benfica team news

Benfica joined Champions League qualifying in the third round, pit against Danish side Midtjylland who had needed penalties to beat AEK Larnaca. The difference in quality really showed over the two legs with Benfica, who had lost Darwin Nunez to Liverpool in the summer remember, winning 7-2 including a 3-1 win away from home.

Goncalo Ramos was the star of the tie, scoring a hat-trick in the first leg, and he’ll be looking to have a similar impact having also scored the only goal in a 1-0 win over Casa Pia at the weekend. Benfica remain without Lucas Verissimo and Joao Victor, the latter yet to make his debut after signing from Corinthians.

Scoreline prediction: Dynamo Kyiv 0-2 Benfica
