Bayern Munich vs RB Leipzig match preview:
The Allianz Arena plays host to Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig in a repeat of last year’s DFL-Supercup which saw Bayern claim their 10th title in a 5-3 thriller. It was also Bayern’s third consecutive win in RB Leipzig’s debut appearance, with Jamal Musiala, Sadio Mané, Benjamin Pavard, Serge Gnabry and Leroy Sané all getting on the scoresheet for the German champions. Marcel Halstenberg, Christopher Nkunku and Daniel Olmo scored Leipzig’s consolation goals.
Mané has since left the Bavarians while Halstenberg and Nkunku are no longer with Marco Rose’s side. Xavi Simons, Loïs Openda and Fábio Carvalho have since joined Leipzig with Simons and Openda expected to start here. Kim Min-jae is Bayern’s marquee signing of the summer and the South Korean centre-back should debut here. Konrad Laimer, who crossed from RB Leipzig, could also feature.
