There’s no way they’ll win the title as they now sit 14 points behind runaway leaders and city rivals Inter, but AC Milan have taken an iron grip on second place. Stefano Pioli’s men have won each of their last four Serie A matches as part of a six-game winning streak across all competitions, moving them six points clear of Juventus and opening up a 13-point buffer in the Champions League places. This purple patch has been fuelled largely by the excellent form of former Chelsea duo Christian Pulisic and Ruben Loftus-Cheek, with the pair scoring seven goals combined in the last six games (all comps), with the former hitting four and the latter getting three.

Up next is a Lecce side suffering a really tough patch, with just three wins in their last 25 league matches and one in their last seven, undoing all the good work they put in right at the start of the campaign. As a result, Luca Gotti’s side have slipped to 13th in the table which, although looking comfortable at first glance, leaves them just four points clear of the relegation zone in what has become an incredibly tense battle to avoid the drop.

Scoreline prediction: AC Milan 2-0 Lecce
