Napoli will be looking to maintain their perfect Serie A start when they meet Fiorentina at Stadio Artemio Franchi on Sunday afternoon (17:00 UK time).
Luciano Spalletti’s men come into matchday seven as the only Italian top division club who have won each of their opening six matches. As for their hosts they currently occupy a top five position and hope to be the first team responsible for The Parthenopeans dropping points this season.

Fiorentina vs Napoli build-up & previous line-ups:
Not that far down from Napoli is Fiorentina who come into this weekend’s clash sitting in fifth position after winning four of their opening six Serie A games. Vincenzo Italiano’s men returned to successful ways last time out after suffering a home loss to Inter Milan (1-3). Should they register back-to-back wins, Fiorentina will be on 15 points after their opening seven league matches; they’ve only had more than 15 points from their opening seven matches of a season in the three points era once before, that happened in 2015/16 (18 points under Paulo Sousa). That being said, I Viola have lost four of their last six top-flight matches with Napoli, and if we look across Fiorentina’s last 12 home league games against the Naples-based club they’ve picked up just one win and lost on six occasions.
Luciano Spalletti couldn’t have asked for a better start as Napoli boss. The four-time Serie A runner-up finds his new side leading the young Italian championship. Heading into matchday seven the Neopolitans are one of three sides yet to suffer a defeat — alongside both Milan teams — however they’re alone when it comes to holding a perfect record. A win this weekend means Napoli would have won each of their opening seven top-flight matches for just the second time, after beginning with eight consecutive wins in 2017/18. During that same campaign Spalletti, then coaching Inter, remained unbeaten in each of his first seven Serie A games of a season, which is the only time that has happened in his managerial career.

Player to watch: Lorenzo Insigne (Napoli)
There will be a familiar face lining up against Napoli this weekend. José Callejón joined Fiorentina in October 2020 and has so far been an ever-present this season for them albeit the 34-year-old Spanish forward has yet to register a goal or assist. The same cannot be said for Callejón’s former partner in crime Lorenzo Insigne — who played a pivotal role in Italy winning this summer’s European Championship — as Napoli’s skipper comes into this weekend’s game having netted twice across his opening six league outings and creating a further three goals. He’s also scored nine times in 17 previous league meetings against Fiorentina, which makes them his favourite Serie A opponent, furthermore Insigne has been involved in eight goals (scored five himself while assisting three more) in his last four top-flight games against La Viola.
