Fenerbahce vs Sivasspor build-up, previous line-ups & injury news:
It’s not often you’ll find any of the Istanbul giants rooting for the other, but Galatasaray’s 3-1 win over Besiktas at the weekend has blown the Turkish title race wide open. Fenerbahce beat Ankaragucu 2-1 last time out thanks to a 96th-minute penalty from Enner Valencia, moving them to within just two points of the leaders. It’s been a while since we’ve seen a title race between Turkey’s ‘Big Three’ go down to the final two games, with no side able to slip up at this point if they want to claim silverware and the huge bragging rights that go with it.
But Fenerbahce won’t have an easy task against Sivasspor, who are unbeaten in their last 16 Super Lig matches, during which time they’ve taken points from Besiktas, Galatasaray and Trabzonspor. Rıza Çalımbay’s side cannot qualify for Europe, but are still looking to finish as high as possible and can leapfrog Hatayspor into fifth if results go their way on Tuesday. If nothing else, they’d relish the chance to end Fenerbahce’s title hopes.
- Fenerbahce (vs Ankaragucu): Tekin; Tufan, Tisserand, Szalai, Erkin; Sosa; Ozil, Kahveci, Yandas, Pelkas; Valencia.
- Sivasspor (vs Istanbul Basaksehir): Vural; Oguz, Yalcin, Osmanpasa, Cifti; Arslan, Claudemir, Fajr; Yesilyurt, Kayode, Gradel.
Fenerbahce still have a very lengthy injury list, with Diego Perotti, Sadik Ciftpinar, Altay Bayindir, Nazim Sangare, Serdar Aziz, Sinan Gumus and Mbwana Samatta all sidelined.
Sivasspor have a few absences of their own to deal with as Mustapha Yatabare, Samba Camara and Tyler Boyd are sidelined with injuries, while Aaron Appindangoye is lacking match fitness.

Player to watch: Enner Valencia (Fenerbahce)
It doesn’t get much more nerve-racking than stepping up to take a 96th-minute penalty to keep your side in a title race, but that’s the hand that Enner Valencia was dealt at the weekend. And it’s a hand he played with supreme calm. The Ecuador international fired home having already assisted Ozan Tufan’s equaliser in a priceless 2-1 comeback win over Ankaragucu at the weekend to keep his side in the Super Lig hunt.
In his last seven league games, Valencia has notched six goals and two assists and if the title does indeed end up with Fenerbahce, they’ll have him to thank for it. Even more so considering that across the entire season, no player in Emre Belozoglu’s side has scored more goals (11) or made more tackles (88), while Valencia even ranks third for chances created (36).
