Long gone are the days when the north London derby was simply a source of derision and embarrassment for Tottenham fans.
“St Totteringham’s Day” has become a thing of the past in recent years, with Mauricio Pochettino engineering some impressive Premier League finishes, most of which have been above Arsenal in the table.
The Argentine has crafted one of the finest teams in England and Europe during his time in north London: Harry Kane is arguably the most lethal centre-forward on the planet, Christian Eriksen is a creative genius and Son Heung-Min seems to get better and better with every touch of the ball.
That said, Spurs are still without a major trophy since winning the 2008 League Cup, having fallen at the final hurdle in last season’s Champions League campaign.
While Arsenal haven’t exactly been swimming in silverware themselves during that time, they have still managed to bring home three FA Cups.
So, with one hurdle seemingly jumped and another still standing in their way, what do Spurs fans value more? Would they rather finish above Arsenal or finally get their hands on a long-coveted piece of silverware?
