Half of the Premier League’s so-called ‘big six’ are in some sort of crisis, with Manchester City, Tottenham and Manchester United all facing questions over their form, future and fortunes.
Pep Guardiola’s men are already eight points off the title pace, Mauricio Pochettino has forgotten how to win away and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad is looking too thin to mount a serious top-four challenge, let alone compete for the title.
Stand-in host Sam Long was joined by guests Will Hall and Muhammad Butt to discuss which club has fallen into the deepest pit of despair – and who will be able to climb back on the horse this season.
But it wasn’t just England’s elite clubs on the agenda. The Three Lions are also in action during the international break and Tammy Abraham received a flurry of praise for his progress this term. But can he realistically hope to get any game time with that pesky figure of Harry Kane still about?
The team also chewed the fat over who has been the best player in every position in the Premier League during the 2019/20 season thus far with – as has become a tradition – a twist.
