It’s a swift turnaround for Gameweek 32 as Crystal Palace prepare to welcome Manchester City on Saturday lunchtime, little more than 36 hours after Chelsea and Manchester United wrapped up Gameweek 31 in breathless fashion at Stamford Bridge.
With the help of the Comparison Matrix, our FPL expert Holly Shand has picked out another three fantasy football sleepers you should be considering for the forthcoming weekend.
Who has a favourable fixture? Who has started pulling up trees as we head for the business end of the season? Don’t bank on a hunch, let Holly steer you through the statistics behind our picks.
Rayan Ait-Nouri vs West Ham (H), £4.7m
4.9% ownership
Defender Rayan Ait-Nouri is a popular transfer in this week, with Wolves one of seven sides who have two fixtures in the upcoming Gameweek 34. They have great fixtures around this key double, including entertaining West Ham this weekend at Molineux.
Ait-Nouri’s has scored two goals in the last three gameweeks, with all four of his attacking returns for the campaign coming this calendar year. He sits top among defenders for big chances on goal this campaign, with seven.
Leon Bailey vs Brentford (H), £5.6m
4.1% ownership
With fantasy favourite Ollie Watkins remaining an injury doubt, team-mate Leon Bailey could be a differential source of attacking returns, with 17 goal involvements for the campaign. He has two goals and four assists in 2024 alone, starting all but two of their games.
Watkins has a league-leading 15 assists on FPL this season, but Bailey has made four more key passes and created one more big chance. He has nine assists for the season, including an assist in the reverse fixture against Brentford, which ended in a 2-1 win for Aston Villa.
Chris Wood vs Tottenham Hotspur (A), £4.8m
1.5% ownership
Nottingham Forest’s Chris Wood has been one of the form strikers in the last four gameweeks. Since becoming a regular in the side, he’s scored goals in three consecutive games, while completing 90 minutes on three occasions. He’s a massive differential at 1.5% owned.
His run of goals have coincided with an upturn in form for Forest, picking up five points in their last three games, and scoring five goals in the process. Opponents Spurs have just one clean sheet this calendar year, and haven’t kept a shut-out at home since October.
