FPL differential tips: Gameweek 7 complete squad of value picks

Looking for some key differentials ahead of this weekend’s FPL action? We’ve been doing our research and have picked out a complete squad made up of players with under 10% ownership.

Partly based on our fantasy football ranking system, Squawka Score, and partly based on the good, old fashioned eye test, we’ve compiled a squad that we think might be able to compete against sides featuring some of the more popular players. Who knows? These bargains picks might even give you the edge.

You won’t find Erling Haaland (92.3% ownership) or Bukayo Saka (64.8%) in our squad but we still think these 15 players have the potential to pick up some big scores — and at a fraction of the cost.

Fancy your chances against our Squawka Score super computer? We’re challenging you to beat us in our own mini-league. You can sign up here or use the league code 8ju9vx to join the Squawka Challenge League.

Gameweek 7 Differential picks

Guglielmo Vicario, Spurs
FPL price: 5.1m
Ownership: 5.6%

Vicario’s ownership has actually dropped this week, with players anticipating a tough time for Spurs against Liverpool. It could be the perfect chance for Vicario to show his best though and, with him topping the Squawka Score for goalkeepers, we’re backing him this week.

Ben White, Arsenal
FPL price: 5.5m
Ownership: 8.9%

Arsenal face a Bournemouth side that have struggled for goals this season, so grabbing a defender that is almost guaranteed to play is probably a wise move. White has played every minute of the season so far, picking up 22 points in the process.

Pedro Porro, Spurs
FPL price: 4.9m
Ownership: 5.2%

Another player that has dipped slightly in ownership but long term strategy might mean you could cash in. A game against Liverpool might not be ideal but Spurs play Luton and Fulham in the weeks after, meaning Porro could be one of the key pick ups ahead of an easier run.

Oleksandr Zinchenko
FPL price: 5.1m
Ownership: 7.1%

Similarly to White, Zinchenko represents a big chance to pick up some clean sheet points. The Ukrainian international is back in the starting eleven and, with his ability to get forward, could even grab some points in an attacking sense too.

Solly March, Brighton
FPL price: 6.5m
Ownership: 7.8%

The Brighton winger should be back in the fold after missing the last two games for the Seagulls. Three goals in his first two games this season showed what March can bring to your FPL team and, with his ownership dipping below 10%, now is the time to strike.

Jarrod Bowen, West Ham
FPL price: 7.1m
Ownership: 9.5%

No one seems to have figured out a way to stop Bowen this season, with the England international picking up 39 points so far. It’s amazing that his ownership still sits below 10%, especially with four goals and one assist so far.

Anthony Gordon, Newcastle
FPL price: 6.3m
Ownership: 8.9%

Newcastle’s newest sensational is finally showing why Eddie Howe stumped up so much money for him, with two goals and two assists in his last four games. He’s amassed 32 points, an average of 5.3 per game, putting him in the top 15 midfielders so far this season.

Diogo Jota, Liverpool
FPL price: 6.1m
Ownership: 8.6%

Jota has played somewhat of a bit part role so far this season, with Jurgen Klopp opting for a bit more rotation than last term. The Liverpool machine is beginning to whir though, and Jota is still fundamental to the way it works, contributing two goals and two assists so far.

Callum Wilson, Newcastle
FPL price: 7.8m
Ownership: 6.1%

Wilson has been operating in a timeshare with Alexander Isak so far this season but that hasn’t stopped either man from picking up plenty of points. Wilson has scored four so far, one in each of his last three games, but still his ownership sits at just over 6%. Jump aboard the Wilson train before it’s too late.

Rasmus Hojlund, Man United
FPL price: 7.1m
Ownership: 4.6%

Hojlund hasn’t had the biggest impact since his move to Old Trafford but there are signs that he could be a key player in the final third, with his xG slowly growing each game. With some favourable fixtures coming up it might be a good idea to get ahead of the game and bring in the Danish striker.

Carlton Morris, Luton
FPL price: 5.5m
Ownership: 4.4%

Luton have a double gameweek this week, offering Morris the chance to pick up points against Everton and Burnley, teams that have conceded 23 goals already this season. It feels like this week could be pivotal to Luton’s survival hopes and a lot of that lands on the shoulders of Morris.

Sam Johnstone, Crystal Palace
FPL price: 4.5m
Ownership: 1.8%

Joachim Andersen, Crystal Palace
FPL price: 4.7m
Ownership: 8.9%

Nathan Ake, Man City
FPL price: 5.1m
Ownership: 7.1%

Jeremy Doku, Man City
FPL price: 6.5m
Ownership: 1.8%
