FPL differential tips: Complete squad of low ownership picks for Gameweek 6

Differential picks can make all the difference when it comes to FPL. We’ve been doing our research and have picked out a complete squad made up of players with under 10% ownership.

Partly based on our fantasy football ranking system, Squawka Score, and partly based on the good, old fashioned eye test, we’ve compiled a squad that we think might be able to compete against sides featuring some of the more popular players. Who knows? These bargains picks might even give you the edge.

You won’t find Erling Haaland (92.3% ownership) or Bukayo Saka (64.8%) in our squad but we still think these 15 players have the potential to pick up some big scores — and at a fraction of the cost.

Fancy your chances against our Squawka Score super computer? We’re challenging you to beat us in our own mini-league. You can sign up here or use the league code 8ju9vx to join the Squawka Challenge League.

Gameweek 6 Differential picks

Guglielmo Vicario, Spurs
FPL price: 5.1m
Ownership: 5.8%

The Spurs keeper has impressed since his move to the Premier League, collecting 24 points so far. Spurs unbeaten start to the season has been a contributing factor but two clean sheets, and some very impressive saves, have put Vicario firmly on the FPL radar.

Ben White, Arsenal
FPL price: 5.5m
Ownership: 8.9%

Arsenal utility defender has grabbed 18 points so far this season, making him a valuable asset without a huge price attached. Two clean sheets have given his points a boost and it could be a good time to grab an Arsenal defender as they look to close the gap at the top.

Pedro Porro, Spurs
FPL price: 5.0m
Ownership: 5.8%

Porro missed the opening game of the season, leading to a 0.1m price drop, but he’s since come into the team, earning an average of over 5 points per game and seeing his price rise again. Ange-ball has certainly had a good effect on Porro and, if he can continue his good form, he could prove to be one of the better differential picks available.

Ruben Dias, Man City
FPL price: 5.5m
Ownership: 8.6%

Grabbing a mainstay in the Man City defence with less than 10% ownership is a no-brainer. Dias has played 90 minutes in all three of the games he’s been available for, making him one of the few players apparently immune to ‘Pep Roulette’. Man City have some favourable fixtures coming up too, making Dias a key pick up.

Andy Robertson, Liverpool
FPL price: 6.5m
Ownership: 6%

The Liverpool left back has benefitted from a slight change in position in the past couple of weeks, even getting his name on the scoresheet last weekend. 23 points have put the defender in the upper reaches of picks ups for your backline, especially with some good fixtures coming up for Liverpool.

Jarrod Bowen, West Ham
FPL price: 7.1m
Ownership: 9.5%

No one seems to have figured out a way to stop Bowen this season, with the England international picking up 32 points so far. He just about sneaks into this team as a differential pick but he’s definitely one you should try and factor in.

Eberechi Eze, Crystal Palace
FPL price: 6.3m
Ownership: 8.9%

Another player who only just makes the 10% ownership mark, Eze is proving to be Crystal Palace’s star man this season. With Michael Olise’s return looking further away than originally thought, Eze could be the player to continue Palace’s excellent start to the season.

James Ward-Prowse, West Ham
FPL price: 6.1m
Ownership: 8.6%

What an impact Ward-Prowse has had since his move from Southampton. Two goals and three assists has netted him 29 FPL points so far this season and he’s showing no signs of slowing. With just 8.6% ownership, he could be a key differential for success this weekend.

Dominik Szoboszlai, Liverpool
FPL price: 7m
Ownership: 5.1%

Liverpool’s Hungarian signing has impressed since he’s moved from RB Leipzig. He’s provided a goal and an assist, gaining his owners 21 points so far and he could become a key player in Jurgen Klopp’s side this season.

Gabriel Jesus, Arsenal
FPL price: 7.9m
Ownership: 3%

Jesus has played less than 40 minutes of football so far this season, making his comeback from injury against Fulham, but already racked up eight points. People might be sleeping on him at this point, with just 3% of players owning him, so jump on board the bandwagon before it gets too full.

Danny Welbeck, Brighton
FPL price: 5.8m
Ownership: 1%

Danny Welbeck doesn’t stop. He’s still a vital player in Roberto De Zerbi’s squad and scored his first goal of the season last weekend. With Evan Ferguson still sidelined, it could be the right time to grab Welbeck and pick up a key differential striker, especially one owned by just 1% of players.

David Raya, Arsenal
FPL price: 4.8m
Ownership: 2.4%

Joachim Andersen, Crystal Palace
FPL price: 4.6m
Ownership: 8.2%

Pascal Groß, Brighton
FPL price: 6.3m
Ownership: 2.9%

Callum Wilson, Newcastle
FPL price: 7.8m
Ownership: 5.4%
