Every Fantasy Football deadline for the Premier League’s festive fixture list

The Premier League fixtures come thick and fast at this time of year, with clubs facing frantic schedules over Christmas and New Year.
England’s top tier continues to resist calls to introduce a winter break, much to the delight of fans looking to avoid Christmas shopping at all costs, and so we have a mass of matches to look forward to over the festive period.
This can be a bit of a challenge for those partial to playing Fantasy Football and leads to points being dropped, opponents getting a crucial edge and rivals pulling away never to be caught again.
The days can become a bit of a blur with copious amounts of food being consumed, but you need to keep your head clear.
So fear not, we have put together this guide to help make sure you stay on top of all the action and don’t miss a single Gameweek deadline.
When is the next Fantasy Football deadline?
Gameweek 19
Deadline: Thursday 26 December (Boxing Day) – 11:30am
Key fixtures
Chelsea v Southampton – If you haven’t got Tammy Abraham in your squad this might be a good time to bring him in given Southampton’s poor defensive record.
Leicester v Liverpool – No one expected this to be a top of the table clash when the fixtures were released in the summer but that is exactly what it looks like being. All the signs point towards a Boxing Day classic.
Wolves v Man City – Wolves host the champions in another fun festive fixture. Nuno’s men won at the Etihad so could a double be on the cards?
Gameweek 20
Deadline: Saturday 28 December – 11:30am (1st wildcard deadline – see below)
Key fixtures
Norwich v Spurs – This could be a great week to get Harry Kane added to your side as Norwich don’t have the best defensive record.
Arsenal v Chelsea – Goals are likely to be on the menu.

Gameweek 21
Deadline: Wednesday 1 January – 11:30am
Key fixtures
Arsenal v Man Utd – Two Premier League rivals meet at the Emirates in what could be a mid-table clash of fallen giants.
Liverpool v Sheffield United – The Blades face their biggest challenge of the season when they take on the league leaders at Anfield. Chris Wilder will be pitting his wits against one of the top managers in world football. He’s come a long way from the Conference.
When can I use my Fantasy Football Wildcard?
Now listen carefully, you only get to use your Wildcard chip twice a season – once in the first half of the season and once in the second half of the season.
The first Wildcard deadline is on Saturday 28 December (11:30am) so make sure you have used yours before then as Wildcard chips cannot be carried over into the second half of the season.
And remember, a Wildcard allows you to make unlimited free transfers throughout a Gameweek. Playing a Wildcard will also remove any point deductions incurred from transfers already made in the same Gameweek, so don’t miss out.
On the other hand, if you used your first Wildcard early doors (we’ve all been there) then your second Wildcard will become available to play immediately after the first deadline.
