Holders Arsenal were knocked out of the FA Cup by Southampton on Saturday on a day short of shocks.

Former Tottenham full-back Kyle Walker-Peters saw his cross inadvertently turned home by Gabriel Magalhaes as Saints reached the fifth round for the first time in three seasons.

Perhaps the only upset of the fourth round so far came as Barnsley edged past Championship leaders Norwich to set up a meeting with Chelsea.

Manchester City survived a scare as they staged a late comeback to beat League Two Cheltenham, while Brighton squeezed past Blackpool with just their third win at The Amex in all competitions since the start of 2020.

West Ham made light work of Doncaster and Sheffield United recorded their third win in four despite a late consolation goal for League One Plymouth at Bramall Lane.

Wolves were narrow winners over Chorley, while Bristol City and Swansea were the victors in a couple of all-Championship affairs on Saturday.
