Every Premier League club’s most exciting young talent
Footballers used to peak around the age of 27, but times are changing and the sport is fast becoming a young man’s game.
Just look at Raheem Sterling, who is just 24 years of age but already part of England’s senior leadership team. Or Callum Hudson-Odoi, who is set to start a game for Gareth Southgate’s senior side before achieving the same feat for Chelsea in the Premier League.
It turns out everyone has decided that you can win things with kids and Premier League academies are churning out young players at a rate of knots.
Of course, some of them fall by the wayside and fail to fulfil their potential. But plenty of others manage to make the grade and carve out careers at the top level.
Statman Dave is here to help you get ahead of the game and drop some knowledge on the Premier League academy talent (that you may not have even heard of yet) by choosing one stand-out performer from each club, with a little help from some of his friends.
From the Liverpool forward who could represent Germany or England to the Manchester United starlet who has already had a little taste of Champions League action – we’ve got all the bases covered.
