New Everton striker Moise Kean has revealed the advice he received from Cristiano Ronaldo ahead of his Juventus exit.

The 19-year-old sealed a £25.17m move to Goodison Park on a five-year deal on Sunday in what represents an impressive piece of business from Everton director of football, Marcel Brands.

  • The 19-year-old sealed a £25.17m move to Everton on Sunday.

Kean had the privilege of training and playing alongside Ronaldo, a five-time Ballon d’Or and Champions League winner, last season, helping the Old Lady seal an eighth-straight Serie A title.

And Kean has now revealed the advice Ronaldo passed onto him before departing the Turin giants.

“I follow the Premier League. I spoke to my companions at Juventus, I spoke to Cristiano (Ronaldo),” he told reporters.

“And they told me things but I knew enough on my own. To follow my dreams and work hard – that is what Cristiano told me.”

Kean added that he’ll use the lessons picked up from playing alongside the likes of Ronaldo to help him in the latest chapter of his short career, hopefully, to deliver Champions League football to Goodison Park.

“I’ve had the fortune of playing with very strong players like Cristiano Ronaldo,” he said. “Of course, I’ve learnt a lot and that’s what I’ll bring with me. It will help me to reach my target.

“It is part of the ambition of any player to help bring his team to the Champions League.

“Champions League is fascinating and exciting. What I want is to bring Everton into the Champions League.”

Kean and his Everton teammates kick off their 2019/20 Premier League campaign with an away trip to Crystal Palace on Saturday before hosting Watford next weekend.
