A new era is underway at Everton as Carlo Ancelotti has become the latest in a long list of managerial appointments to attempt to get the best out of the Toffees squad.

On paper, the Italian looks destined to succeed. After all, he’s managed a string of elite European clubs and boasts an impressive array of trophies on his CV.

However, as every Evertonian will tell you, things are rarely straightforward at Goodison Park.

The 60-year-old has had little time to work with his new players ahead of a Boxing Day clash against Burnley and perhaps it’s understandable if he’s unsure about one or two of the players he has inherited.

But Everton fans can have no such excuses. Supporters should know their current squad inside out, right?

So we’ve put them to the test with questions such as who is Everton’s longest serving player? Which current Toffees player has the most international caps?

And who played for Shakhtar Donetsk and Atletico Mineiro before moving to Goodison Park?

How many people did Duncan Ferguson headbutt while he was caretaker manager? Ok maybe not that last one, but you get the picture.

Liverpool recently secured a respectable total of eight out of 30 so bragging rights are also very much up for grabs.
