England will be hoping to pick up another win on the road to Euro 2024 when they take on Malta on Friday evening.

England enter their third qualifier in Group C holding a 100% record after wins over Italy and Ukraine, in March.
Things might be a little more disjointed for Gareth Southgate, and his team, this time around with the domestic season finishing less than two weeks prior to this contest. It will be some comfort that England have some easier fixtures in the coming days, at least on paper.
The first contest takes place in Ta’ Qali, where England will take on Malta.
With Manchester City having a busy end to the 2022/23 season, it’s unlikely that many of Pep Guardiola’s players will feature heavily in this match but Phil Foden, John Stones and Kalvin Phillips are expected to start for Southgate.
Harry Kane will, as usual, lead the line as he continues to improve his record breaking tally for England, whilst the rest of the side should be made up of players that saw their domestic season end on the Premier League’s final day, at the end of May.
Lewis Dunk and Jude Bellingham have withdrawn from the England squad for this match, and the subsequent clash with North Macedonia, with Levi Colwill handed his first England call up as a replacement for Dunk.
England are heavy favourites for the match but, at the end of a long season, it could end up being a trickier tie than many expect.
