Crotone vs Juventus build-up, pre-match team news & previous line-ups:
The defending champions are currently fifth after three games, winning two and drawing one so far. They opened the campaign with a 3-0 win over Sampdoria and followed that up with a 2-2 draw against Roma. Juventus were also recently awarded a 3-0 win over Napoli after Gennaro Gattuso’s side failed to fulfil their fixture prior to the international break. And the Bianconeri will be confident of adding to their unbeaten start.
Back in Serie A, Crotone have not enjoyed their return, losing all three of their games so far. They haven’t really been close contests either, with Crotone losing two games 4-1, either side of a 2-0 defeat to AC Milan. Juventus, though, may be wary of their recent form away from home, without a victory in their past five games, drawing two and losing three.
But their record against Crotone is positive, winning three of the four previous Serie A meetings and conceding just once.
- Crotone (vs Sassuolo): Cordaz; Pereira, Golemic, Marrone, Magallan, Reca; Molina, Cigarini; Vulic; Messias, Simy.
- Juventus (vs Roma): Szczesny; Danilo, Chiellini, Bonucci; Kulusevski, Rabiot, McKennie*, Cuadrado; Ramsey*; Ronaldo*, Morata.
Juventus will be without Weston McKennie and Cristiano Ronaldo, both of whom tested positive for COVID-19, but Adrien Rabiot’s suspension has counted as being served in the unplayed game against Napoli. Aaron Ramsey is also absent after pulling out of international duty with Wales because of an unspecified injury.

Players to watch:
Crotone: Simy. Only one player has scored for Crotone against Juventus in their four Serie A games so far, but fortunately for Giovanni Stroppa he is still at the club and available for Saturday. Simy is now entering his fifth season at Crotone, having joined from Gil Vicente in 2016, and has scored an impressive 47 goals in 123 games so far. Just 11 of those have come in Serie A, including one this season, last time out against Sassuolo.
Juventus: Alvaro Morata. With Ronaldo out, Morata looks set to take on most of the attacking responsibility, fresh from his second debut with Juventus. Joining on loan from Atletico Madrid, Morata started the 2-2 draw with Roma and although he did not score, it may not be long before he gets off the mark. Although he is no longer the same player, still suffering with the confidence problems that arose from his time at Chelsea, Morata had arguably his best spell at Juventus. Although his record of 27 goals in 93 games doesn’t read as great, the Spaniard played with a swagger and confidence that many will hope returns. What better way to get back on track than against Serie A’s bottom club.
