Copa Libertadores live streams: How to watch the 2022 knockouts online

The Copa Libertadores resumes this week and 16 clubs across South America still dreaming of winning CONMEBOL’s flagship club tournament in October.

Palmeiras, who beat Flamengo in last season’s final, are chasing a successful title defence, while various other continental powerhouses aim to end the Plain Parakeet‘s two-year grip on the prize.

We’ve explained three of the most important things you need to know below.

How to live stream the Copa Libertadores online

What are the last-16 ties and when will they be played?

The 2022 Copa Libertadores group stage took place from 5 April to 26 May 2022 with a total of 32 teams competing to decide the 16 places in the knockout stages.

Palmeiras, Libertad, Estudiantes, Atletico Mineiro, Boca Juniors, River Plate, Colon and Flamengo won their respective groups with Emelec, Athletico Paranaense, Velez Sarsfield, Deportes Tolima, Corinthians, Fortaleza, Cerro Porteno and Talleres placing as runners-up.

Following the completion of the group stage, the draw was made on May 27, meaning we’ve known about the last-16 for some time, but here’s a refresher of the ties and when they will be taking place.

Before the 2019 edition, Copa Libertadores finals were played over two legs, one at each participating club’s stadium. Last season’s finalists Palmeiras and Flamengo, as well as their compatriots Atletico Mineiro are co-favourites, with Buenos Aires pair River Plate and Boca Juniors ahead of the chasing pack.
