Club Brugge vs Manchester Utd predictions, team news & confirmed line-ups

Manchester United kick off their Europa League knockout campaign with a trip to Belgian side Club Brugge on Thursday.
The Red Devils will be on a high having pulled off an impressive 2-0 win at Chelsea on Monday night, leaving them well in the hunt for a Champions League qualification spot.
Of course, winning the Europa League is another route to the continent’s top table, but Brugge won’t go down easily in this round-of-32 first-leg tie, having lost just once in the Belgian Pro League this season.
Can Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men extend their four-game unbeaten run or will they come unstuck at the hands of Blauw-Zwart? Read on for our preview, predictions, team news and TV coverage information.

Squawka prediction
Another impressive win against a big rival has restored hope that Man Utd can break back into those Champions League spots — especially with fifth place now offering a qualification route (providing Man City’s ban is not overturned on appeal).
However, it’s against deep, defensive units that the Red Devils struggle and given the disparity in quality on the pitch, that’s what they’re likely to come up against in Belgium on Thursday.
Brugge will make it tough for Solskjaer’s side and have some very threatening attacking pieces, so United will have to be guarded against counter-attacks. That said, a draw should set them up nicely for the return leg at Old Trafford.
