Chile will look to kick-start their stuttering World Cup qualifying campaign when they host Bolivia on Wednesday at 2:30am (UK time).
Martin Lasarte’s side are seventh in the group with just five points from their opening five games. But they’re one point ahead of Bolivia, who sit eighth in the table.

Chile vs Bolivia build-up, previous line-ups & injury news:
La Roja were shock absentees from the 2018 World Cup after winning just eight of their 18 qualifiers and they’ve done little to inspire confidence that they can return to the big stage so far in this campaign. Chile drew 1-1 with Argentina last time out, meaning they’ve won just one of their five matches so far, though there is still plenty of time to turn things around.
Bolivia are one place and one point behind Chile having also picked up a lone victory so far, though that did come in their last match against Venezuela. After opening the campaign with three defeats, Cesar Farias’ men are unbeaten in two and will see this match as a chance to make a real statement in their quest to qualify for a first World Cup since 1994.
- Chile (vs Argentina): Bravo; Isla, Medel, Maripan, Mena; Galdames, Pulgar, Aranguiz, Meneeses; Vargas, Sanchez.
- Bolivia (vs Venezuela): Lampe; Bejarano, Haquin, Quinteros, Flores; Justiniano; Vaca, Saavedra, Arce, Ramallo; Moreno.
Chile have no fresh absences for this game while Bolivia’s only doubt is Henry Vaca, who was withdrawn at half-time during the 3-1 win over Venezuela last time out.

Player to watch: Alexis Sanchez (Chile)
Alexis Sanchez netted his third goal of the qualifying campaign to salvage a 1-1 draw for Chile against Argentina last time out. Only five players have managed more in this cycle so far.
In doing so, Sanchez extended his lead over Eduardo Vargas as the nation’s record goalscorer to eight goals, with the Inter Milan forward netting 46 times for Chile so far.
La Roja will not want to miss out on another World Cup but if they’re to stand a realistic chance of making Qatar 2022, they need to put Bolivia to bed here. The visitors are spearheaded by CONMEBOL qualifying’s top scorer, Marcelo Moreno, who has five goals to his name so far. Sanchez will be the man expected to match his firepower here.
