Chelsea vs Man Utd build-up, previous line-ups & injury news:

Chelsea will head into Sunday’s match high on confidence after pulling off an impressive 1-0 win away at La Liga leaders Atletico Madrid, who tried and ultimately failed in their attempts to frustrate the Blues. Tuchel will be fully aware that a victory at Old Trafford would elevate Chelsea into the Champions League spots thanks to West Ham’s defeat to Man City on Saturday, while also putting them just three points behind United.

Although the Red Devils remain second and unbeaten in their last eight games across all competitions, they are floundering with a lot of draws. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men have completely lost the scent of Manchester City in the title race and must now focus on remaining in the top four. Fortunately, Solskjaer was able to rotate his squad for United’s Europa League round-of-32 second-leg clash against Real Sociedad after winning the first leg 4-0, so his players should be fresh, fit and ready as they head to London.

  • Chelsea (vs Atletico Madrid): Mendy; Azpilicueta, Christensen, Rudiger; Hudson-Odoi, Jorginho, Kovacic, Alonso; Mount; Giroud, Werner.
  • Man Utd (vs Real Sociedad): Henderson; Wan-Bissaka, Bailly, Lindelof, Telles; Fred, Matic; Greenwood, Fernandes, James; Martial.

Chelsea have no injury concerns other than Thiago Silva, who remains sidelined with a thigh problem. Man Utd, meanwhile, will be without Paul Pogba, Juan Mata, Phil Jones and Scott McTominay for the trip to London, while Donny van de Beek, Edinson Cavani and Daniel James are all doubts.
