Chelsea will be looking to close the gap on Premier League leaders Manchester City when they host Everton at Stamford Bridge on Thursday at 7:45pm (UK time).

Chelsea team news
Just a few weeks ago Chelsea were top of the Premier League but now they find themselves chasing the leaders while fighting against their own poor form. The Blues have dropped points in three of their past six Premier League games, including that 3-2 defeat to West Ham at the London Stadium which cost them top spot. At the weekend, after drawing with Zenit to finish second in their Champions League group, Chelsea needed two penalties including one in injury time to beat Leeds 3-2. Chelsea have had some positive news, however, with Trevoh Chalobah and N’Golo Kante fit enough to return to the bench on Thursday – though Mateo Kovacic and Ben Chilwell are still out. The Blues have also had three players test positive for COVID-19, though they have not been named.
Chelsea predicted XI: Mendy; Azpilicueta, Silva, Rudiger; James, Jorginho, Loftus-Cheek, Hudson-Odoi; Mount, Lukaku, Werner.
Everton team news
Life at Goodison Park is not going well for Rafael Benitez right now and with every defeat the unhappiness in the stands grows. A 2-1 win over Arsenal last week proved to be a blip in Everton losing run, and they slumped to another defeat against Crystal Palace on Sunday, their eighth of the season. Only Watford, Norwich and Aston Villa have lost more games than Everton in the Premier League this season, and the Toffees haven’t won at Stamford Bridge since 1994. They search for a first win in 27 years without Richarlison, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Tom Davies, Lucas Digne and Andros Townsend among others.
Everton predicted XI: Pickford; Kenny, Holgate, Keane, Godfrey; Delph; Iwobi, Gomes, Doucoure, Gray; Rondon.
