Chelsea duo Abraham and Tomori make England squad for Euro 2020 qualifiers
Gareth Southgate has selected Chelsea duo Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori in his England squad for this month’s Euro 2020 qualifiers against the Czech Republic and Bulgaria.
Tomori is set to make his full international debut after playing 15 times for the Under-21s, while Abraham could turn out for the senior England team for the first time since 2017.
Leicester City midfielder James Maddison will also be hoping to make his senior debut after failing to make it off the bench during the previous international break.
Tottenham pair Eric Dier and Dele Alli are not included having barely featured for their club this season, while Chelsea’s Mason Mount and Aston Villa’s Tyrone Mings are among the group once again.

Neither Manchester City’s Kyle Walker nor Manchester United’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka have been picked – the latter has been unwell of late – with Southgate opting for Trent Alexander-Arnold of Liverpool and Kieran Trippier of Atletico Madrid as his right-backs.
Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard joins Alli and Walker on the list of notable absentees.

The inclusion of two young Chelsea players is testament to the faith Frank Lampard has put in youth since arriving at Stamford Bridge.
Abraham recently admitted he is undecided on whether he will commit to England or Nigeria on the international stage, but it now looks like he is leaning towards the Three Lions.
