Having missed their most recent game at Southampton there’s still doubts over Alexandre Lacazette ahead of this London derby.
The 30-year-old French striker though has been struggling in front of goal lately. Across his previous 11 league appearances Lacazette has managed to find the goal one time, however during this aforementioned period he’s created no fewer than four, including two as the Gunners ran out 2-3 winners at relegation-threatened Watford last month.
Though on recent performances it suggests he wasn’t missed in the Southampton defeat, he’s still one of the more experienced players in Arteta’s squad, illness was cited as the reason behind Lacazette’s absence with the Arsenal head coach suggesting it could be touch and go regarding his involvement at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday evening.
“It will depend whether he’s negative and whether he is feeling better and if his symptoms have gone and if he’s available to play (against Chelsea),” he told reporters.
