Kepa Arrizabalaga – 6 – Had little to do, but handled himself well.
Cesar Azpilicueta – 7 – Never really tested by a ropey Spurs but held them at bay well.
Thiago Silva – 7 – Very canny defending to buy a foul and thus prevent a clean goal from Harry Kane. Scored the second goal with a calm, rising header.
All five of Thiago Silva’s Premier League goals have been scored in London:

Antonio Rudiger – 7 – Some lovely rampaging runs forward. As impassable as ever with a game-high 4 clearances.
Malang Sarr – 7 – Didn’t have too much to do as Chelsea never really raided down his side but still did well.
Jorginho – 8 – Dominated the middle of the park with ease. 3/3 tackles and a game-high 4 interceptions.
Mateo Kovacic – 7 – Worked well.
Hakim Ziyech – 9 – A devastating creative force. Pressed Spurs superbly as well with 4 tackles, had a game-high 96 touches as everything ran through him (with a game-high 34 passes into the final third). Completed 2/3 dribbles and, of course, scored the opening goal with a moment of sheer genius bending the ball in from distance. A world-class strike from a world-class talent growing in importance as a Chelsea player. If Ziyech can find his rhythm in Chelsea Blue then it spells serious danger for opponents!

Mason Mount – 8 – Some lovely runs into space and some beautiful low crosses for Lukaku. Always linking with his team-mates to create danger for Spurs and produced a peach of a cross for Chelsea’s second. Finally getting somewhere near his best level.
Callum Hudson-Odoi – 8 – Ran hard and caused Spurs no end of problems with his dribbling. His run for the first Chelsea goal was superb and he won the free-kick that led to the second goal as well.

92% pass accuracy
8 duels won
4 fouls won

Romelu Lukaku – 5 – Missed two really good chances with some shocking finishing technique as he skied one effort and barely made contact with another. Didn’t really dominate the Spurs defenders as you would have expected him to.

Spurs
Hugo Lloris – 6 – Performed well when called upon. Had no chance with either goal, and him standing stock still and watching Ziyech’s strike sail over his head was the defining image of the game.
Japhet Tanganga – 5 – Slightly overwhemed by Chelsea’s running. Wasn’t terrible, by any means, but wasn’t good.
Eric Dier – 5 – Did alright facing up to Lukaku but struggled when pulled out from the middle. Poor tackle to give away the free-kick that led to the second Chelsea goal.
Davinson Sanchez – 6 – Handled Lukaku very well for the most part. Could have done better on Chelsea’s second goal.

Ben Davies – 4 – Tried hard to stop Chelsea but struggled to live with Mount’s movement. Lost Thiago Silva for the second goal too.
Pierre Emile Hojbjerg – 7 – A furious presence who battled the Blues all game long. 3 tackles, 3 interceptions and 2 clearances.
Harry Winks – 5 – Got stuck in but was painfully short of quality.
Matt Doherty – 5 – Lots of tackles (got a team-high 4) but was lucky to avoid a red card after a horrific tackle on Malang Sarr.
Ryan Sessegnon – 4 – Couldn’t impact the game at all.
Steven Bergwijn – 6 – Ran well but couldn’t get in the game beyond that.
Harry Kane – 6 – Kept isolated, but scored a lovely goal that was disallowed for a debatable push on Thiago Silva.
