The Championship may be England’s second tier, but many believe it is one of the toughest leagues in Europe. And it’s easy to see why.

Before you even take the three relegated teams from the Premier League into account, it’s clear the Championship has a back of squads capable of challenging for top sport and the subsequent play-off places.

But when you throw in those three former top-flight sides, further chaos ensues as almost all of the 24 teams have one goal: make it to the Premier League. The 2021/22 campaign was no different and, ahead of the final day of the season, Fulham have secured their immediate return to the Premier League by winning the Championship title.

The Cottagers have been in great form this season, going into the final day on 90 points, securing the title with a 7-0 thrashing on Luton Town on Monday night. Aleksandar Mitrovic has been at the heart of that with his 43 Championship goals, 40.6% of Fulham’s overall tally of 106.

Of course, the question for Fulham will be whether they can stay up next season, but for now let’s let them celebrate their title as so many others have in the past. But can you remember those that preceded Fulham, winning the Championship title since the year 2000? We’ve given you five minutes to do your best and you’ve got a head start in knowing Fulham – don’t say we never treat you.

Good luck!
