Champions League top scorers: 2020/21 race for the Golden Boot

Published: 11:00, 5 May 2021

Manchester City have reached the Champions League final as the race for the Golden Boot approaches the home straight.

Just two of the current top 10 goalscorers for this season are still in the competition, with already-eliminated Erling Haaland still leading the way on 10 goals thanks to his remarkable record against Sevilla and his prolific tendencies in the group phase.

The Norwegian ended up scoring in all but two of the Champions League games he played in (eight games) with four braces, including two across both last-16 legs against Sevilla. The only exception was versus Man City in the quarter-finals, though even then he registered an assist in the first leg.

So, can anyone catch Haaland, or will the BVB goal fiend add another gold star to his burgeoning CV with a Champions League Golden Boot for 2020/21?
