The first legs of the Champions League quarter-finals are done and the race for the Golden Boot is heating up!
Six of the current top 10 goalscorers for the season are still in the competition, with Erling Haaland leading the way on 10 goals thanks to his remarkable record in the Champions League this season. The Norwegian has scored in all but one of the Champions League games he’s played (seven games) with four braces including two across both last-16 legs against Sevilla. The only exception was the recent 2-1 defeat to Man City, though even then he registered an assist.
It’s no surprise, then, that Haaland is as short as 4/7 to finish as the Champions League top scorer this season with Sky Bet. Kylian Mbappe (8/1) completes what may well become a familiar top two, extending his tally to eight goals after a brace against Bayern Munich.
There’s a jump of four to the next bunch of top scorers, a group of six players fittingly on six goals. These include Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud (33/1), who scored four in one group game against Sevilla and Mbappe’s Paris Saint-Germain teammate Neymar (14/1).
Robert Lewandowski, Bayern’s goal machine, has scored five in the Champions League but his Golden Boot chances (33/1) have taken a hit due to injury.
With that, here are the top-10 Champions League goalscorers so far.
