The Champions League group stage is reaching its conclusion, bringing the Round of 16 and business end of the competition onto the horizon.

For the likes of Manchester City, Barcelona and defending champions Bayern Munich, it’s been a breeze on the continent so far, with the aforementioned trio securing their place in the knockout rounds well in advance and enjoying unbeaten records to this point.

For others, such as Manchester United and 13-time winners Real Madrid, it’s been anything but straightforward, with plenty of work still needed in the final group-stage match to secure their passage beyond this stage.

So, when is the draw for the Champions League round-of-16 stage, who is involved and when will the action take place?
