Barcelona vs Celta Vigo build-up, previous line-ups & injury news:

One win across their previous three league outings have substantially hurt Barcelona’s chances of being crowned La Liga champions this season. Going into the final two rounds they sit four points below leaders Atletico Madrid with eternal rivals Real Madrid, a further two ahead of the Catalan giants, sandwiched in between. Ronald Koeman’s men snatched a draw from the jaws of victory at Levante last time out which has now seen them accumulate seven points from their last four matches combined. Barça go into the final Camp Nou game of 2020/21 seeking to end a two-game winless run at home.

A four-game winning streak ahead of matchday 37 has reignited Celta Vigo’s push to play European football. Eduardo Coudet’s side are five points below Real Betis who occupy the final spot to reach next season’s Europa League group phase. However they go into this weekend’s game at Barcelona having won just three of their previous 11 away games which includes four losses. That being said, Celta have earned points in seven of their last 13 league games against Barça, winning four and drawing three games only Real Madrid (five) picked up more wins against them since the 2014/15 season.

  • Barcelona (vs Levante): Ter Stegen; Piqué, Araújo, Lenglet; Busquets; Dembélé, De Jong*, Pedri, Alba; Messi, Griezmann.
  • Celta Vigo (vs Getafe): Villar; Vázquez, Aidoo, Dominguez, Martín; Beltrán; Méndez, Suárez, Nolito; Aspas, Mina.

Barcelona are still missing Ansu Fati and Philippe Coutinho. Sergi Roberto joins them in the physio room after sustaining a thigh injury. Frenkie de Jong meanwhile serves a suspension. Celta meanwhile visit the Camp Nou without Sergio Alvarez, Ruben Blanco, Emre Mor, Jeison Murillo and Renato Tapia.

Player to watch: Antoine Griezmann (Barcelona)

A week never goes by without speculation linking someone away from Barcelona and the last few days Antoine Griezmann’s name has continually popped up. The 30-year-old Frenchman was long coveted by the Blaugrana but it’s fair to say he’s not been consistently pulling up trees. Griezmann comes into this weekend’s game on the back of registering six goals across his last 10 league appearances. Before joining Barça he managed eight goals and five assists when facing Celta since leaving Atletico the World Cup winner has gone three games without netting against The Sky Blues which just so happens to be his longest baron spell against a La Liga side.
