The final we all wanted has finally arrived. Carlos Alcaraz, the up-and-coming Spaniard who at just 20 years old, already has his first Grand Slam under his belt and is ranked No.1 in the world, takes on Novak Djokovic, the legend of tennis who has amassed more Grand Slams and prize money than any other player and needs only win one more match to equal Roger Federer’s Wimbledon record.

In truth, Alcaraz has breezed his way to the final, dropping just two sets all tournaments despite facing players ranked third, sixth and 25th in the world. The Spaniard remains perfect after 11 games on grass this year, while overall, his record stands at 46 wins from 50 matches.

Despite all that and his superior ranking, he’ll head into Sunday’s match as the outsider. That’s because Djokovic is unbeaten on Centre Court since way back in 2013 and is gunning for his eighth Wimbledon title and 25th Grand Slam overall. Like Alcaraz, Djokovic has cruised to this stage, dropping just two sets against players ranked seventh, eighth and 17th in the world — not to mention that third-round tie against Stan Wawrinka. The Serbian is six for six on grass this year and has won 33 of his 37 matches overall.

These two giants of the game have only ever faced twice before, each winning once with Alcaraz beating Djokovic at the French Open just last month.

Prediction: Alcaraz 2-3 Djokovic
