Paris Saint-Germain kick-off their 2020/21 Coupe de France campaign with an away trip to Caen in the round-of-64 on Wednesday at 8pm (UK time).
Current holders PSG are the most successful team in the competition’s history, lifting the trophy 13 times, including five out of the last six editions. Caen, meanwhile, have recent success in the Coupe de France themselves having reached the semi-finals in 2017/18, although it was PSG who eliminated them on that occasion.

Caen vs PSG build-up, previous line-ups & injury news:
Caen beat fellow Ligue 2 side Guingamp 1-0 in the last round to reach this stage but head into this match on a run of eight league matches without a win. As a result, Pascal Dupraz’s side have slipped to 11th in the table, making the visit of PSG feel that much more daunting.
PSG have recovered well from their recent shock defeat to Lorient, dispatching Nimes and rivals Marseille without conceding a single goal, scoring five themselves. Mauricio Pochettino’s side are still third in Ligue 1, behind Lille and Lyon, but once the Parisians get in the groove, they can be almost impossible to stop. Caen will only be too aware of that as the French champions make their trip west.
- Caen (vs Amiens): Pean; Rivierez, Oniangue*, Weber; Yago, Deminguet, Lepenant, Vandermersch; Court, Bammou; Mendy.
- PSG (vs Marseille): Rico; Florenzi, Marquinhos, Kimpembe, Kurzawa; Gueye, Paredes, Verratti; Di Maria*, Icardi, Mbappe.
Nicolas Gioacchini and Jessy Deminguet are both suspended for the hosts, who will also be without Remy Riou, Prince Oniangue and Jonathan Rivierez through injury.
Angel Di Maria was withdrawn after just 11 minutes of PSG’s win over Marseille through injury while Abdou Diallo, Timothee Pembele, Colin Dagba, Ander Herrera and Keylor Navas are all out.

Player to watch: Moise Kean (PSG)
Given his relative lack of success at Everton, Moise Kean’s loan move to PSG was one of the bigger surprises of the summer transfer window. In hindsight, given the various injury problems suffered by Neymar and Kylian Mbappe throughout the season, it now looks like an inspired signing.
After scoring just four goals in 37 games for the Toffees, Kean, an eight-time Italy international, has already netted 11 times in 22 appearances across all competitions for PSG, including nine in 14 Ligue 1 starts.
The tentative fitness of Mbappe and Neymar, along with the absence of Di Maria, means Kean is almost nailed on to start against Caen, giving the 20-year-old a perfect opportunity to end his current four-game goalscoring drought.
That said, two of those games were mere two-minute cameos and prior to that run, Kean did net in three consecutive Ligue 1 appearances, so he’ll be looking to get right among the action again.
