Tottenham face a gruelling journey to Turf Moor in the Premier League on Wednesday looking to keep the momentum going after putting reigning champions Manchester City to the sword at the weekend ( 7.30pm kick-off, UK time).

Antonio Conte bested Pep Guardiola on Saturday evening in a 3-2 win that has just enhanced their chances of pushing for the Premier League top four, and they will now be hoping to avoid a potential banana skin result against struggling Burnley. Camped precariously in the relegation zone, Sean Dyche’s Clarets enter this fixture having just battered Brighton 3-0, so the confidence will be high and they will fancy their chances of pulling off an upset.

Conte is unlikely to change too much from that win over Guardiola’s side, given the nature of the victory, in which Harry Kane nabbed a brace and January recruit Dejan Kulusevski scored and assisted, already proving his worth in a Spurs shirt following his switch from Juventus.

The Swedish star struggled for consistent playing time in Turin in the first half of this season, starting just five Serie A games, and he has now revealed the “suffering” he endured under Juve boss Max Allegri, before heaping praise on his new mentor Conte.

Speaking to Sky Italia, Kulusevski said of his stint in a Juve shirt: “I suffered so much over the last few months, I didn’t feel like myself and playing like this with my first Premier League start, I cannot describe it.

“I needed to stay calm and play without too many thoughts in my head. We scored so early, it was great, you don’t have to think anymore, you can just play.

Kulusevski went on to heap praise about his new boss and the winning mindset he imbues on the Spurs squad, saying: “It’s wonderful, because Conte only wants to win and if he doesn’t win, he is not happy.

“We work really hard and that is what we need, there are no other secrets. You have to work hard and listen to the coach. If you listen to him, you can do well.”

Predicted Tottenham XI vs Burnley:

  • Lloris; Romero, Dier, Davies; Emerson, Hojbjerg, Bentancur, Sessegnon; Kulusevski, Son, Kane. (3-4-2-1)
